Despite having a strong workflow in place for repairs and performance upgrades, Apex Autowerks lacked a dedicated, efficient system for handling the constant flow of incoming parts and outgoing shipments. The absence of a centralized label printing system caused delays, and space limitations made it difficult to organize the packing station without clutter. Staff also had limited access to virtual tools near the packing area, making day-to-day logistics more time-consuming than necessary.

How We Helped

To address Apex Autowerks’ workflow challenges, we designed and deployed a streamlined packing station tailored to their high-volume shipping needs. Our approach focused on space-saving hardware, simplified connectivity, and seamless access to remote systems. A Dell Wyse Thin Client enabled staff to interact with virtual desktops right at the packing station, while a Ubiquiti Flex Switch powered multiple devices through PoE—minimizing cable clutter and power dependency. We also integrated networked Dymo label printers, allowing labels to be generated from anywhere in the facility and printed directly at the station. Every detail was selected to reduce friction and maximize operational flow.
